My Story
I am starting this very small DPC practice after a wonderful seven years of co-owning Green Mountain Primary Care in Middlebury. I will be running this practice by myself and keeping the numbers small. With the Direct Primary Care Model, I can do home visits, phone calls and telehealth visits as needed and still see people in the office for physicals and acute care. Easy access through the portal, texting and phone calls will make me easily accessible 7 days a week.
I may be out for a hike, at a gym class or traveling to see my kids so understanding that I may not be able to return calls immediately is important. Use of the portal makes communication seamless. If you have an emergency, please seek immediate care at Porter Hospital at Express Care or the ER.

I will occasionally take vacations and during these times, patients will know ahead of time and use Express Care and the ER for emergencies. Research suggests patients in Direct Primary Care practices often experience fewer ER visits and hospitalizations, along with better access and continuity of care. The close connection between doctor and patient makes the care more thorough, up to date, personal and satisfying for both parties.

I love dogs and always bring them to the office.​ It is great to see them connect with patients in different ways. Studies suggest that spending time with a pet—such as gently petting a dog or cat—may help reduce stress and support healthy blood pressure.

I love listening to patients’ stories and making a mutual connection over time that makes the doctor patient relationship so rewarding - it almost feels I am caring for a family member or friend ! I am honored to have these relationships !

I love the outdoors and strongly believe that being in nature improves one's physical and mental health. If I am hiking and out of cell phone range, I will get back to you once I have service again .​

I spend my free time in the woods with my dogs and husband, or mountain biking or cross country skiing or sailing my small sailboat. I am most proud of my three amazing grown children and love spending time with them whenever I can.
